    • 33% of all serious injury crashes at signalised intersections.
  • An estimated 47% of all fatal and serious injury crashes in metropolitan areas, and 21% in rural areas, occurred at intersections.

  • Speed was identified as a contributing factor in:
    • 35% of all fatal crashes.
    • 19% of all serious injury crashes.
  • Disobeying a traffic signal was identified as a contributing factor in:
    • 25% of all fatal crashes at signalised intersections.
    • 17% of all serious injury crashes at signalised intersections.

  • 53% of South Australian drivers were not detected for any speeding offences.
  • 28% of South Australian drivers were detected for one speeding offence.
